Dawson International Truck Centres is looking for a full-time Branch Manager, reporting to the Vice President of Operations. The position of Branch Manager is a key strategic/leadership role with proven business experience and the ability to develop and manage change. Your base location will be Kelowna, B.C. and may require some travel throughout our beautiful province.

  • Develop strategic plans by studying technological and financial opportunities; presenting assumptions, recommending objectives
  • Accomplish objectives by establishing plans, budgets and results measurements; allocating resources; reviewing progress, making mid-course corrections
  • Establish and maintain a proactive, ongoing and engaged dialogue at all levels of the organization; with customers, vendors, etc.
  • Maintain effective means of control of the business outcomes and customer service reputation of the location through personal oversight and involvement to coordinate the business within the location by effectively working with employees
  • Fully communicate with executive management of all aspects of the location’s operational and financial affairs and on all matters of significant relevance to the company
  • Establish and maintain a proactive, ongoing and engaged dialogue with employees to ensure equipment prep, service and parts transactions are accurate and meet customer expectations
  • Monitor and ensure internal and external work orders are handled in a timely and accurate manner
  • Build long-term trusting relationships with clients/customers

WHAT YOU BRING

  • Business Administration or related degree; minimum seven (7) years experience in sales management with five (5) years of senior management experience
  • An equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Desire to execute Best in Class business results
  • Ability to create and implement change management strategies
  • Strong strategic and customer focus with a clear understanding of the wider issues impacting the relevant markets
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with customers, vendors and employees
  • Ability to coach, motivate and communicate with others at all levels
  • Proactive problem solver and task oriented
