GRAHAM DAWSON, at 46, has been active in construction for 30 years.

A lean, lithe man with a keen sense of the essential, he is both practical and professional. Dawson worked his way up from truck driver to his present position.

He drove an asphalt distributor truck- one of the dirtiest of all jobs.

When the company was building the Granville Bridge in Vancouver, his father suffered a stroke. Dawson had to assume management of the company.

He considers the crowning achievement of his life the organization of the group of companies.

He is also a director of a number of Canadian companies – the Bank of Montreal, Zellers Department Stores, Hayes Truck Ltd. and others.

He is honorary chairman of Simon Fraser University’s 10th anniversary fund for student aid, a past-chairman of the B.C. division of the Canadian Arthritis Society, and a member of the Vancouver Police Commission.

He is married and has five children. His hobbies include golfing, fishing, skiing and traveling.
