After a long two years of waiting during the COVID-19 pandemic, Dave Rowe finally received the red seal certificate he was waiting for.
“There certainly were some frustrating moments, being so close to the end only to have it put on pause because of the pandemic, but that was out of my control,” said Rowe, one of the Foremen with Dawson International Truck Centres and Dawson Idealease Kamloops location. “I’m very proud to finish this off and I’m ready to continue working and learning in this trade.”
Rowe initially began the heavy duty equipment technician program back in the 2016-17 academic year. Right before he was set to take his final exam, COVID shut the world down and didn’t allow him to take his final exam until this spring.
Backed with this certification, Rowe can now access his Commercial Vehicle Inspection Program ticket to do further inspections on commercial vehicles, along with opening up more career opportunities for himself down the road.

It might have been a long road to get to where Rowe is now, but he is happy to finally be working with International Trucks for Dawson.
