Laboured his way to the top

Barry H. Drummond, P. Eng., began his association with the Dawson companies while still in university, on summer labouring jobs. He joined Dawson, Wade and Co. on a full-time basis upon his graduation from UBC in 1961.

He has worked in the estimating department and spent several years in the field as project engineer and project manager. He gained valuable onsite experience and a thorough knowledge of job conditions.

He has recently been brought into the Vancouver office as vice president, operations, responsible for all facets of Dawson’s heavy construction divisions.

He is also a member of the Association of Professional Engineers of B.C.
