Dawson Civil started excavating in Chase, B.C. recently, in preparation for the expansion of the Trans-Canada highway.

The project, which is scheduled to be completed near the end of 2022, will see the 3.3 kilometre section widened to four lanes from Chase to Hoffman’s Bluff, west of Kamloops. Additional works include the installation of intersections, cattle underpasses and frontage roads.

Currently, Dawson Civil is asking travelers to slow down to 80 kilometres per hour when travelling through and have scheduled single-lane alternating traffic for the next three days, as we work to create a temporary detour.
