The Dawson Road Maintenance team in Clinton is celebrating their very successful third annual food drive this week.

The crew delivered an approximate 700 pounds of food and $200 in cash Tuesday to the Clinton Food Bank, surpassing their still impressive 587-pound food donation last year.

Kitty File, our Clinton Road Foreman said that even during a pandemic, the team did not want to miss their opportunity to give back.

“It’s something we started three years ago and every year it has gotten even bigger. Last year, the closing of Chasm Mill prompted a huge amount of support for our community from the crew. This year, with COVID-19 affecting so many, the crew was even more generous.”

“We live in a small community and it makes us feel proud to give back to our neighbours.”
